Abstract:

In recent years, with the continuous expansion of the new energy industry, the demand for lithium products in the global consumer market has become increasingly urgent. As a high-quality raw material for lithium extraction, spodumene's latest extraction and processing technology has always been the focus of attention.Spodumene ore from Marion mining area in Australia was used to enhance its leaching process in alkaline hydrothermal system through mechanical activation, and its leaching behavior was analyzed. The results showed that the lithium extraction efficiency reached 90.18% when the particle size of spodumene was less than 75 μm at the NaOH concentration of 25%,the alkali-ore ratio of 1.5∶1,the reaction temperature of 523.15 K,the reaction time of 8 h,and the rotational speed of the reactor of 100 r/min.Avrami-Erofeev kinetic empirical model could better describe the process of enhancing spodumene leaching by mechanical activation, and its apparent activation energy was 41.739 kJ/mol.
