Abstract: In order to expand utilization ways of chlorination titanium blast furnace slag as well as reduce the cost of treatment of acid waste water in the titanium dioxide factory, treatment of acid waste water by chlorination titanium blast furnace slag was studied. Results showed that, the chlorine mass fraction of chlorination titanium blast furnace slag was less than or equal to 0.24%,i.e.the chlorination titanium blast furnace slag must be washed before it was used to treat the wastewater. With increase of the concentration of acid waste water and the ratio of washed chlorination titanium blast furnace slag, the pH of neutralization of acid waste water by chlorination titanium blast furnace slag decreased gradually.20% CaCO3 liquid could be replaced by the washed chlorination titanium blast furnace slag. The pH,chemical compositions of filtrate, and neutralization slag were all in normal range after the neutralization.
