Abstract: When sulfate and sulfite coexisted，the determination of these two impurities in strontium nitrate was difficult.Simultaneous determination method of sulfate and sulfite contents in strontium nitrate by ion chromatography method was established. The ICS-1500 ion chromatography and IonPac AS18 as chromatographic separation column were selected.The KOH gradient elution and conductivity detector were used by determination.The linear correlation coefficient was reported at 0.999 4~0.999 6 and the recovery ratio was at 87.4%~100.8%.The relative standard deviation was at 2.9%~3.2%.It was proved that this method was accurate，fast，and meaningful in the production tests.
