Abstract: Global potash reserves are rich，but the distribution is very uneven，most of the potash resources are concentrated in Canada，Russia，and other countries.Latin America has been found that the majority of potash resources are potassium brine，and a small part of them are the solid potassium salt.The countries，such as Brazil，Argentina，Bolivia，Chile，and Peru are all found with potash resources.Based on the analysis on the distribution and development and utilization status of potash resources in Latin America，the plight of China′s enterprises in the cooperative development of offshore potash mineral resources was summed up，and the accessibility and preferentially accessible Latin American countries to carry out survey and exploration of potash mineral resources were evaluated and discussed，which provided scientific guidance for Chinese geological exploration units and enterprises to make exploration，development，and investment in Latin America.
