Abstract:

Sludge biochar/attapulgite(SBC/ATP) was prepared by slow co-pyrolysis of attapulgite(ATP) and sewage sludge(SS),and the adsorption performance of methylene blue(MB) was studied. The micromorphology and physicochemical properties of sludge biochar and its composites were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The effects of pyrolysis temperature and raw material ratio on the adsorption properties of sludge biochar/attapulgite were investigated, and the effects of adsorbent dosage,pH,initial concentration and adsorption time on MB removal rate were investigated. The experimental results showed that the maximum adsorption capacity of SBC/ATP(50%) prepared at 500 ℃ was 53.74 mg/g when the dosage was 1.2 g/L,pH was 11,the initial concentration of MB solution was 100 mg/L,and the adsorption time was 180 min.The adsorption of MB by SBC/ATP(50%) was more in line with Langmuir isotherm model and quasi second-order kinetic model, indicating that the adsorption process was mainly monolayer adsorption controlled by chemical adsorption.
