Abstract: In order to improve the economic and environmental benefits，a new method was used to physically separate the relatively high value components from the tail gas containing hydrogen sulfide.The core of the separation technique was based on the critical points of the various components of the mixture，and through an appropriate temperature and pressure control of the gas mixture，phase change of one or two components occurred.Then according to the number，kinds，and contents of gas mixture′s components，as well as the kinds and concentrations（or purity） of target components，the separation of effective components of the hydrogen sulfide contained mixed gas could finally be realized by the designed processes，such as pressuri- zing，distillation，specific gravity separation，and absorption，as well as by appropriately controlling the parameters.
