Screening of nanofiltration membrane for separation of magnesium and lithium

Abstract:

Nanofiltration membranes are widely used in various separation fields.There are many kinds of nanofiltration mem-branes on sale,and their separation performance varies greatly.Magnesium-lithium separation experiments were carried out on six kinds of nanofiltration membranes sold in the market:NT102,NT103,NT201,NF90,NF270 and XN-45.The separa-tion performance of the six kinds of nanofiltration membranes for magnesium-lithium was measured under different operating conditions by changing the dilution ratio,the ratio of magnesium to lithium,the temperature and the pH of raw liquid,and the operating pressure.Results showed that there were obvious differences of separation performance:NT201≈NT103>NF270≈XN-4>NF90≈NT102.NT201 and NT103 nanofiltration membranes showed the best separation performance for magnesium and lithium.
