Abstract:

The testing methods of aperture performance and rejection performance of nonwoven filter media used in liquid-solid separation and gas-solid separation were studied. It was pointed out that the gas flow method could be used to measure the aperture performance of nonwoven filter media. The maximum pore size, average pore size and pore size distribution could be obtained simultaneously, and the aperture performance could be characterized comprehensively.Different methods were used to test the rejection performance of the nonwoven filter media. At the same time,by comparing the aperture performance and rejection performance of nonwoven filter media, the relationship between them was explored, which provided guidance for the selection and evaluation of nonwoven filter media in the actual industrial process.

Key words: nonwoven filter media, solid-liquid separation, gas-solid separation, aerosol, rejection performance
