Abstract: The solid-liquid equilibria in ternary system KBr-K2SO4-H2O at 373 K were studied, and the solubilities and densities of solution in the ternary system were determined.Research showed that the ternary system was of simple eutectic type and no double salt or solid solution was found;the solubility diagram of the ternary system had one invariant point, two univariant curves, and two fields of crystallization(KBr and K2SO4).The solubilities of KBr-K2SO4-H2O at different temperatures were compared and analyzed. Results showed that potassium bromide had a strong salting-out function on potassium sulfate obviously. The density changing rule of the KBr-K2SO4-H2O was also discussed simply.
