Abstract: Effect of Fe dissolution on performance of LiFePO4/C cells was studied.Compatibility of LiFePO4 with electrolyte was investigated.Electrolyte containing quantitative iron salt was prepared and the commercial square batteries was made.The charge-discharge cycles of LiFePO4/AG cells at 0.5 C and storage performances at normal and 55 ℃ high temperature were tested.Results showed that dissolution of iron did not have much impact on capacity fading and self-discharge of cells.Therefore，it is not the main reason that dissolution of iron for capacity fading and large self-discharge.
