Study on producing interior wall coating by using carbide slag

Abstract: On the basis of analysis and prediction to the interior wall coating market in China,the feasibility of using carbide slag generated from hydrolysis of calcium carbide to replace ash calcium powder as interior wall coating′s stuffing was introduced and the market prospect of the new interior wall coating product was forecasted.Composition and properties of carbide slag were analyzed and carbide slag′s treatment technology was confirmed by experimental batch plant.Furthermore,the production cost estimation and comparison as well as economic benefit assessment were carried out.Provided a 1×105 t/a interior wall coating production plant was set up in a PVC factory,it′s predicted that it could annually deal with about 1×105 t carbide slag and could realize RMB 5.27×107 yuan economic profit every year.This technology changed waste into valuable,reduced environment protection pressure,and had very good environmental and economical benefits. 
