Abstract: Mixed aqueous solution of cationic gemini surfactant hexamethylene-1,6-bis(dodecyldimethylammonium bro- mide(12-6-12) and anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),and 12-6-12/n-butanol/n-octane/water microemul- sion were used as templates to prepare calcium carbonate-cyclodextrin composite materials with brick-and-mortar structures like nacre.Structures and morphologies of materials were characterized by XRD,IR,and TEM experiments.Relationship between sizes and electric charges of templates and materials′ morphologies was investigated, and the mechanism of brick-and-mortar structure formation was also put forward.
