Abstract: Al-doped α-FeOOH nanoparticles were prepared by metal-ion chemical coprecipitation method.Perfor-mancesof Al-doped α-FeOOH nanoparticles were characterized by transmission-electronic microscope and X-ray diffractometer, then its adsorption efficiency to Pb2+ was researched. Results showed that the prepared nanoparticles were α-FeOOH with nano-sized needle-like shape;and the adsorption efficiency was influenced by the initial mass concentration of Pb2+ and adsorption time in different degrees.Adsorption of Pb2+ by Al-doped α-FeOOHnanoparticles followed Langmuir isotherm model, and the maximum adsorption capacity qm was 5.043 mg/g. All absorption processes could be described by pseudo-second-order kinetics equation,in which the values of parameter kand qewere 0.088 g/(mg•min) and 5.405 5 mg/g respectively.
