Primary exploration of removing impurities from phosphogypsum by wet coupling process

Abstract:

The utilization of phosphogypsum resource was limited by the co-existence of the impurities.The technology rule of removing impurities from phosphogypsum with silane coupling agent by wet coupling process was discussesed.Results showed that the silane coupling agent can combine with silica and carboxyl organic impurities in phosphogypsum by hydrogen bonding and dehydration condensation to make the corresponding impurities hydrophobic suspended and separated from by scraping,and leading to the formation of gypsum with a purity of 96.2%(CaSO4·0.5H2O) and a whiteness of 92.2%.
