Abstract: Application of quintuple-effect evaporation in wastewater treatment as well as main process flow were introduced.Comprehensive utilization of heat was realized with this system and transformation of materials was optimized by making use of the pressure relationship among each evaporator，so that the power consumption of the system was reduced.Structure of each evaporator，especially the fifth-effect evaporator was optimized according to wastewater quality to ensure the steady operation of the evaporation system.The system meets the requirements of energy conservation and emission reduction in China.
