Abstract: Leaching process of magnesium ion from boron slurry by sulfuric acid was studied.Influences of boron slurry particle size, dilution ratio of sulfuric acid, and acid leaching temperature on magnesium ion leaching effect were investigated. Results showed that the maximum magnesium ion leaching rate was about 64.61% when particle size of boron slurry was 62~77 μm,dilution ratio of sulfuric acid was 1∶2,and acid leaching temperature was 60 ℃.Leaching kinetics indicated that when the particle size of boron slurry was 62~77 μm,the leaching of magnesium ion from boron slurry by sulfuric acid was under the joint action of surface reaction control and solid film diffusion control, and the acid leaching activation energy was determined to be 14 kJ/mol.
