Abstract:

Trapping volatile organic compounds(VOCs) is currently the primary focus of atmospheric environmental management.Adsorption is one of the most widely used methods for removing VOCs,and the selection of adsorption material is the key link in adsorption method. From the perspective of adsorption materials of zeolites, three kinds of zeolites,MCM-41,ZSM-5 and NaY,which had excellent effects in adsorbing VOCs,were briefly introduced. The research progress on preparation methods and their adsorption effects on various VOCs were mainly reviewed. The results showed that the specific surface area, the pore channel, the silica-alumina ratio and the equilibrium cation of zeolites all affected the adsorption effect and that the performance of the zeolites could be optimized by loading precious metals or oxides, surface modification treatment, composite materials and structural adjustment. In the future, the new zeolites with high adsorption capacity, high hydrophobicity, green and low-cost regenerable would have a broader prospect application in the adsorption of VOCs.
