Abstract:

The high-speed rotating reactors and microchannel reactors applied in liquid phase and gas phase flow reactors applied in gas phase were summarized. The design principles, flow patterns and distributions, and research status in the preparation of various inorganic nanoparticles such as oxides,core-shell structures, and metal nanorods of four types of high-speed rotating reactors, including rotating disc reactor, rotating packed-bed reactor, high shear stirred reactor and coaxial rotation reactor, three types of continuous gas phase reactors, including droplet-based microchannel reactor, laser vaporization flow reactor, aerosol reactor and continuous flow non-thermal plasma reactor were elaborated.Their advantages and disadvantages were analyzed. They were capable of preparing nanoparticles with more uniform size, some with unique structures. But challenges existed in aspects of equipment processing, channel clogging and scaling up.The characteristics and advantages of these reactors should been fully utilized to develop other types of nanomaterials and study the scaling up laws,as well as develop new reactors to meet the requirements of nanostructure.
