Abstract: The polyaluminum chloride(PAC) was prepared by using calcium reducing slag and acidic leaching liquid of cal- cined coal gangue as raw materials. The influences of dosing quantity of calcium reducing slag, reaction time, and reaction temperature on the performance of PAC were investigated. The obtained samples were characterized by fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA).Results showed that the solid PAC product with Al2O3 mass fraction of 28.1% and basicity of 68.9% was obtained when a certain amount calcium reducing slag was added into the acidic leaching liquid of calcined coal gangue, and reacted at 95 ℃ for 4 h.The final PAC product conformed to the national standard Water Treatment Chemical-Poly Aluminium Chloride,GB/T 22627—2014.
