Study on preparation of body-shaped NaA Zeolite

Abstract:

Geopolymer with a certain strength was prepared by extracting the remaining acid-soluble slag of alumina from fly ash with one-step acid dissolution method,and the NaA Zeolite was converted via in-situ hydrothermal.The effect of various factors,such as ratio of silicon to aluminum,alkali content,liquid-solid ratio etc on the crystallinity of NaA zeolite was inves-tigated.Optimal condition for the synthesis NaA zeolite from acid-soluble residue based geopolymer was determined to be:SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio of 1.8,Na2O/Al2O3 molar ratio of 1.0,and H2O/acid-soluble residue mass ratio of 1.2,and then in 0.5 mol/L 75 mL NaOH,the NaA zeolite with single crystal phase and high crystallinity could be prepared by hydrothermal reaction at 100 ℃ and hydrothermal reaction for 8 h.The prepared NaA zeolite had an obvious cubic shape,uniform particle distribution,pore size of 0.685 nm,specific surface area of 86.75 m2/g,and compressive strength of 4.5 MPa.
