Abstract:

Amoxicillin is a new type of organic pollutant in wastewater, which is a typical kind of medicine and personal care.It poses a potential threat to the surrounding environment and human health. The ordered mesoporous carbon(OMC) was prepared by using sucrose as carbon source and SBA-15 as template. The adsorption behavior of amoxicillin on OMC was studied by dynamic adsorption method and it was compared with traditional activated carbon(GAC).Effects of the initial concentration, temperature and flow rate of amoxicillin in wastewater on dynamic adsorption were discussed. The results showed that under the same conditions, the adsorption capacity of OMC was much stronger than that of GAC.Using OMC as adsorbent can effectively remove amoxicillin-type new organic pollutants in wastewater.
