Abstract: For the purpose of improving the utilization of light and cutting down the cost of preparation of the catalysts at the same time, tungsten trioxide hollow spheres were synthesized at low temperature and with tungsten chloride as tungsten source.Precursor nanoparticles were grown on the surfaces of sulfonated polystyrene spheres(SPS) through alcoholysis and hydrolysis at 70 ℃.After annealing, tungsten oxide hollow sphere can be obtained.Field-emission scanning electron micro- scope(FE-SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),and thermo gravimetric analysis (TG-DTG) were used to characterize the prepared products. The photocatalytic activity of the obtained photocatalyst was tested by the degradation of Rhodamine B(RhB) with the existence of H2O2.And the degradation efficiency reached 86.61% after 60 min of illumination.
