Preparation and application of yttrium-deposited TiO2-SBA-15 nano-catalyst

Abstract:

In recent years,TiO2 has been widely used in wastewater treatment.In order to reasonably improve the defects of TiO2 in photocatalytic applications and improve the use scope of TiO2,this paper first used hydrothermal synthesis to prepare SBA-15 mesoporous molecular sieves and deposit TiO2 on them.Then a new photocatalyst Y-TiO2-SBA-15 was prepared by impregnating yttrium nitrate deposit different amounts of yttrium on the molecular sieves.The catalysts were characterized by XRD,TEM,EDS,FT-IR and N2 adsorption-desorption.The photo degradation ability of methyl orange was investigated under different conditions with methyl orange solution as the target degradant.The results showed that when the pH was 4 and the solution was irradiated by xenon lamp for 140 min at 300 w,the decolorization effect of orange was obvious and the degradation rate was 93.1%.
