Abstract: By studying the difference in properties between titanium concentrate and titanium slag，combined with the research status of scholars at home and abroad，the advantages and disadvantages of the cost，material balance，acid hydrolysis process and hydrolysis process of titanium slag and titanium concentrate in the subsequent preparation of titanium dioxide by sulfuric acid process were comprehensively discussed.The titanium slag is more obvious than the titanium concentrate in terms of comprehensive cost.To further promote the development of titanium slag utilization，it can be carried out from both production process and environmental protection.Combined with acid hydrolysis process and hydrolysis process，it is shown that highquality titanium dioxide can be obtained by mixing acid hydrolysis of titanium slag and titanium concentrate，reasonably controlling the amount of substance ratio of total titanium solution n（Fe）/n（Ti），and optimizing process parameters.
