Abstract: The traditional EDTA volumetric method have the disadvantages such as complex operation and long time detec- tion.Then the fast measurement for the content of Al₂O₃ in bauxite was studied.In allusion to the sample with the mass fraction of Al₂O₃  at 12%~70%，two different treatment methods were compared.It was found that there were no obvious difference in the testing results with NaOH dissolved precipitation method and the national standard.The consumption of NaOH for the NaOH dissolved precipitation method was only 3 g.And the method had simple steps and less time to measure.Therefore，the method had a good application prospect in the rapid determination of the content of Al2O3  in bauxite.
