Abstract: K2La2Ti3O10 was firstly prepared by stearic acid method and K2La2Ti3-xNbxO10 was obtained through the doping of Nb ions. Then proton exchange, and amine pillared/Cd ion exchange were conducted by microwave method.Finally,CdS-K2La2Ti3-xNbxO10 catalyst was prepared by curing reaction. The catalyst was characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The photocatalytic activities of K2La2Ti3O10,K2La2Ti3-xNbxO10,and CdS-K2La2Ti3-xNbxO10 for the degradation of rhodamine B were also investigated under UV and visible light irradiation. Results revealed that the Nb ions doping and CdS intercalation widened the range of visible light absorption, inhibited the recombination efficiency of photo-induced electrons and holes, and greatly enhanced the photocatalytic activity of catalyst. At the same time,it was exhibited more excellent activity than those of K2La2Ti3O10 and K2La2Ti3-xNbxO10 catalysts.
