Synthesis of hierarchical β zeolite by bisphenol A epoxy-resin as premade rigid template

Abstract: Hierarchical β zeolite was synthesized by hydrothermal method with bisphenol A epoxy-resin as mesoporous template and with TEAOH(Tetraethyl ammonium hydroxide) as microporous template.The hierarchical β zeolite samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy,and nitrogen adsorption/desorption analysis.The results showed that the sample had rather high crystallinity and plenty of mesoporous structures were formed in the sample whose most probable pore size was about 20 nm.The effects of synthesis conditions,such as alkalinity,crystallizing time and water content in mother liquor,on the crystallinity and mesoporous structure of hierarchical β zeolite were also investigated.
