Abstract: Determination method of total sulfur content in strontium carbonate by carbon and sulfur analyzer was introduced.Sulfurs of each valence state in the sample were all oxidized to SO2 by high-temperature automatic arc striking in an electric arc induction furnace in the presence of flux (special silicon molybdenum powder, tin grains and pure iron) and oxygen.SO2 would be absorbed by absorption liquid to form H2SO3,and then light-controlled automatic titration of SO32- with iodine-starch standard solution was carried out,and finally total sulfur content could be calculated according to the consumption of standard solution. This method has advantages of convenience, simplicity, good repeatability, and high precision, whose relative standard deviation is less than 0.5% and standard sample recovery rate is more than 95%. 
