Study on desulfurization process of waste lead paste by triethylamine process

Abstract:

In order to recover lead,triethylamine is reacted with lead sulfate in waste lead paste to obtain more easily decom-posed lead hydroxide.The effects of the amount-of-substance ratio of triethylamine to lead sulfate in waste lead paste,liquid-solid mass ratio,reaction temperature and reaction time on the desulfurization rate were investigated.Results showed that when the amount-of-substance ratio of triethylamine to lead sulfate in waste lead paste was 10,the liquid-solid mass ratio was 10,the reaction temperature was 60 ℃ and the reaction time was 6 h,the desulfurization rate can reach 86.77%.XRD and SEM analysis were carried out on the original lead paste and the desulfurized lead paste under the optimum conditions.There were many characteristic peaks of lead hydroxide in desulfurized lead paste,and the characteristic peaks of lead sulfate de-creased greatly.The shape of lead hydroxide was a smooth rod.
