Study on effect of alkalinity on zeolite A strip

Abstract:

The zeolite strip was prepared with zeolite 4A as raw material and kaolin as binder,and the effects of alkalinity on the adsorption properties,crystal size and strength of the strip were investigated.The result showed that when n(Na2O):n(SiO2)=2,n(H2O):n(Na2O)=50,sufficient sodium source and alkalinity could be provided for the zeolite strip with suitable crystal size.Suitable alkalinity could guarantee the strength of the strip,solving the problem that kaolin blocked the pore channels of zeolite.In the meanwhile,the adsorption efficiency of the molded body could reach maximum improvement.
