Preparation of calcium carbonate using different type of lignin based surfactant as control agents

摘要:

以氯化钙和碳酸钠为原料,不同类型木质素基表面活性剂为控制剂制备碳酸钙,对其晶型和形貌进行研究,以期为碳酸钙的可控制备和应用提供参考。结果表明:加入不同类型控制剂和纯水体系制备的碳酸钙的晶型相同,均为方解石型,但形貌和性能不同。纯水体系产品表面光滑,大小均匀;加入控制剂后产品晶体表面带有针孔,棱角不再分明,分散性增大,其中季胺盐表面活性控制剂较为明显。随控制剂用量的增加,碳酸钙表面的孔隙变小变多,片层变薄。控制剂导致碳酸钙表面多孔、棱角弱化、疏松度和分散性增大、热分解更容易,在填料、药物载体、材料制备模板、吸附剂等方面应用具有潜力。

Abstract:

In order to provide reference for the controllable preparation and application of calcium carbonate,calcium car-bonate was prepared with CaCl2 and Na2CO3 as raw materials and different types of lignin based surfactant as control agents,and the crystal form and morphology of calcium carbonate were studied.The results showed that the crystal type of calcium carbonates prepared with different type of control agents were same as that prepared in pure water system.All of them were calcite type,but their microscopic morphology and properties were different.The calcium carbonate prepared in pure water system had smooth surface and uniform size.While for the calcium carbonates prepared with control agents,the surface had pinhole,the edges and corners were no longer distinct,and the dispersibility increased,especially that prepared with lignin-based quaternary ammonium salt.The more control agent was used,the smaller and more the pores was on the surface of calci-um carbonate,and the thickness of sheet became thinner.The addition of control agents led to porous surface,weakened edges and corners,increase of porosity and dispersion and easier thermal decomposition of calcium carbonate.They had potential application in fillers,drug carriers,templates for material preparation,adsorbents,etc.
