Abstract: Low carbon economy is a new model of development in the new world economy in future.Current situation of titanium dioxide industry in China and how to deal with the challenges in survival and development process under the low carbon economy were discussed. Some countermeasures were put forward from the aspects of technical innovation,energy conservation and emission reduction,and realization of  the circular economy etc.,so as to find a suitable innovative way for the development of China′s titanium dioxide industry.
