Abstract: As a large number of raw materials containing heavy metals will be used during rutile-type titanium white production by sulfuric acid process,heavy metals may enter ‘Three Wastes’ and eventually impact on the environment.Direction flow and distribution of heavy metals in rutile-type titanium white production process were studied.Semifinished products,final products，and solid waste from a rutile-type titanium white plant were analyzed.Study results showed that most of heavy metals introduced by raw materials entered solid waste and final products;heavy metals will not affect the quality of products;heavy metals in solid waste did not change its component and nature as a general industrial waste,and normal stockpiling would not impact on the environment distinctly.
