Abstract: High dispersive nanometer calcium titanate (CaTiO3) powder was prepared through one-step hydrothermal method using calcium chloride and tetrabutyl titanate as raw materials, and polyvinyl alcohol as dispersant.Effects of reaction conditions on the structure and morphology of the product were studied in detail.Prepared sample was characterized by XRD,TEM,nano particle size analyzer, and TG-DSC.Results indicated that CaTiO3 powders with uniform particles, satisfactory dispersity, and a size of several nanometers can be obtained under such conditions as 200 ℃ for reaction temperature,6 h for reaction time,10 mL for PVA(4 g/L) volume,18 mL for NaOH (5 mol/L) volume and maintaining a constant total volume of 43 mL.Mechanism of PVA was also analyzed. The obtained product can still maintain a good dispersion even after sintering at high temperature.
