Abstract: Production of chromium salts in China began in 1958.Through the efforts of 50 a, substantial development has been made.Especially, after entered the 1990s,encouraging successes have been achieved in terms of technology,production equipment,production scale,product quality,and product variety etc..The 50 a′s development course of China′s chromium salts,including production scale,technology progress,industrial hygiene,and environment protection was introduced.In terms of technology progress,the progress of 4 largest commodity products,including sodium dichromate,basic chromium sulfate,chromium oxide and chromic acid anhydride was introduced in detail.In addition,the existing problems and future development direction of China′s chromium salts were also pointed out.  
