Abstract: The design of titanium dioxide calcining system and calcining kiln temperature control system was according to the thermal characteristics of titanium dioxide calcination process. The kiln′s temperature gradient and the calcining zone temperature control sensitivity in production were tested. Results showed that the secondary air and tertiary air can control the temperature under 500 ℃ of the dry areas ranged 14 m from the end of kiln.Away from the kiln end 14.5~25.5 m was the dehydration and desulfurization zone and its temperature in the range of 500~750 ℃.Calcining zone was in the range of 25.5~38 m and its temperature remained around 800 ℃.Only about 1 m from the begining of kiln, the temperature showed rising trend and the crystal form has been already completed here. The method of control the parameter of the calcining kiln temperature control system have better steady-state and dynamic properties, can realize system without overshoot.
