Research progress of hydrogen production from hydrogen sulfide

Abstract: Utilization of the industrial waste hydrogen sulfide(H2S) produced in petrochemical,coal chemical,and natural gas chemical industries, can not only make full use of resources,solve the environmental pollution problems,but also is one of the ways to get cheap hydrogen.Technologies for producing hydrogen from the decomposition of H2S mainly include high-temperature thermolysis,superadiabatic thermolysis,catalytic thermolysis,electrochemical process,and plasma technology etc.. Present research situation,key research directions,and research progress of those methods were introduced and summarized.
