Abstract: Leaching conditions of water-soluble Cr6+ in ferrochrome slag were investigated.Optimal leaching conditions were confirmed as follows:mass ratio of deionized water to ferrochrome slag was 8,leaching temperature was 80 ℃, frequency of swing oscillator was 150 r/min,and leaching time was 5 h.Under those conditions, the amount of water-soluble Cr6+ in ferrochrome slag was as low as 2.758 μg per gram.Confirmation of leaching conditions of water-soluble Cr6+ in ferrochrome slag provided experimental basis for the evaluation of hazard of ferrochrome slag to the environment.
