Abstract:

Dry digestion process of calcium hydroxide production is simple, with high production efficiency and good desulfurization effect. However, calcium hydroxide produced from ore as raw material still needs to be improved in terms of purity and specific surface area.In order to prepare high-performance calcium hydroxide by dry digestion, the limestone of a mine was used as raw material, and the effects of water-cement ratio, reaction time, reaction temperature, additives and digestion mode on the performance of calcium hydroxide were investigated. The samples were characterized by specific surface area analyzers,XRD,SEM,and FT-IR.The results showed that the calcium hydroxide prepared under the conditions of water-cement ratio of 0.5,the reaction time of 40 min,the reaction temperature of 40 ℃,and three times of digestion with 4%(mass fraction)PEG400 had the best performance with a CaO hydration rate of 95.28%,a Ca(OH)2 purity of 93.91%,a Ca(OH)2 specific surface area of 52.62 m²/g and a Ca(OH)2 stomatal capacity of 0.163 cm³/g.This study provided a theoretical basis for the preparation of high-performance calcium hydroxide.
