Abstract:

Supercapacitors are potential electrochemical energy storage devices whose performance depends on electrode materials. The morphology, phase and chemical composition of NiCo-bsaed supercapacitor electrode materials could be easily controlled by hydrothermal method by changing the kinds of added halogen ions(F-,Cl-,Br-).The results of X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) showed that nanosheet?support?nanowire arrays with a stable NiCo LDH structure were synthesized by the induce of F-,nanowires and the main ingredient Co2(CO3)(OH)2·H2O were synthesized by the induce of Cl- or Br-.The electrochemical results indicated that the morphology and crystal shape had significant influence on electrochemical performance. The performance was optimal at Cl- doping and reaction at 120 ℃ for 3 h,under this condition, the morphology was nanowires, and the crystal form changed into amorphous structure. The best sample not only exhibited a maximum specific capacitance of 2 940 mF/cm2 at 2 mA/cm2,but also the devices assembled with the electrode and cathode activated carbon had a voltage window of 1.8 V and exhibited an excellent cycling stability.
