Study on extracting lithium from electrolytic aluminum waste residue

Abstract: As the new energy vehicle industry enters the golden development period,the power lithium battery industry shows explosive growth and the demand for lithium carbonate is also increasing year by year.The use of lithium containing fluoride salt leads to a large amount of lithium containing electrolytic aluminum waste residue to be produced.Reasonable recycling and utilizing of these waste residue will help alleviate the pressure of lithium from new energy industry.The battery grade lithium carbonate was prepared and cryolite by produced through a series of processes with lithium containing electrolytic aluminum waste residue and concentrated sulfuric acid as raw materials.The aspects of experimental principle,experimental methods,control of process key point,product quality,process characteristics and etc.Were deeply analyzed.The process has good social,economic and environmental benefits,and is easy to popularize and apply.
