Synthesis and electrochemical properties of high?鄄activity Fe2O3@Ni composite electrode

Abstract: Fe2O3@Ni composite electrode material with high activity was synthesized by hydrothermal method using FeCl3·6H2O as iron source.The phase and microstructure of the products were characterized by X-ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy.The results showed that the iron oxide synthesized in situ on the surface of the nickel foam was interwoven by nanowires with a diameter of about 5~20 nm,which constituted an ordered three?鄄dimensional network structure with uniform distribution.The electrochemical properties of Fe2O3@Ni composite electrode materials were studied by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge-discharge tests,and the Fe2O3@Ni composite electrode exhibited the characteristics of pseudocapacitance.The Fe2O3@Ni composite electrode material showed a specific capacitance of 532 F/g at a current density of 1 A/g.
