Abstract: Based on the current status and development trend of phosphogypsum technology,the market competitiveness and the different utilization ways of phosphogypsum were analyzed and compared.Key problems needing to be solved in different utilization ways of phosphogypsum were pointed out.It was suggested that phosphogypsum must be purposefully utilized as the building material or soil conditioner according to the addresses and surroundings of enterprises;lacks of the market competitiveness of phosphogypsum prepared by sulfates were pointed out;producing acid by desulfurization as the most effective utilization way was mentioned.;and large-scale device as the most important for producing acid by desulfurization was also suggested.
