Abstract: More than 5×10⁷ t phosphogypsum will be emitted in China every year and large accumulation of phosphogypsum limits the development of phosphate fertilizer industry.Present situation of sulfur resources in China was introduced and it was pointed out that it′s very significant to recycle sulfur resources from phosphogypsum for settling China′s shortage of sulfur resources.At present,the researches for the utilization of sulfur resources in phosphogypsum mainly focused on the preparation technologies of sulfur,slfuric acid,and thiourea.Present statuses of comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum and of research and application of sulfur resources in phosphogypsum were introduced in detail,respectively.In addition,suggestions for the researches of utilization of sulfur resources in phosphogypsum were proposed.
