Abstract: ombined with parameters of potassium nitrate cooling crystallization in practical production,a new steam-jet supercharger that could improve the productivity, increase the operating cycle of the evaporator, and decrease the consumption of energy was designed to match the practical production by means of strict theoretical computation.By using the computational fluid dynamics approach Fluent,a numerical simulation was conducted on the working process of steam-jet supercharger for potassium nitrate cooling crystallization, and the influences of different values X(the distance between the outlet of the nozzle and the inlet of the absorbing chamber)on flow field were comparatively analyzed.Computational results showed that the parameter X had a closed relation to flow field of the steam-jet supercharger on the condition that operating parameters keep unchanged.Calculated by numerical simulation, when X=0.01 m,the designed supercharger effectively cut down the wastage of total pressure due to shock waves and reduced the rate sudden changing of jet airflow,at the same time, and good application had been made in practical production. 
