Abstract: The waste automobile catalyst containing platinum-group metals （PCMs） is one of the important and valuable se- condary resources.There are many researches about the recycling technology of cordierite-supported waste automobile catalyst，but there is less studies on metal-carried ones.It′s difficult to use wet or fire process to recycle platinum group metals from waste metal-based automobile catalyst.Besides that，there will much co-product and high pollution.Therefore，a new process to recycle platinum group metals from waste metal-based automobile catalyst，which is simple and lower pollution，was studied.The comprehensive recovery rate can achieved about more than 90%.
