Abstract:

China′s modern salt lakes are developed, and the inorganic salt resources in brine are rich.In addition to potassium, sodium, chlorine, magnesium and other elements, the overall reserves of lithium, boron, rubidium, cesium, iodine, bromine and other elements are also considerable, and the development and application prospects are extremely broad.Efficient development and comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources is an inevitable choice and important way for mining companies to reduce costs, improve efficiency, optimize structure, transform and upgrade, and enhance their core competitiveness. The characteristics of China′s salt lake resources was summarized, the current situation of the research and development and utilization of the comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources were discussed. The main problems faced in the development and utilization of domestic salt lake industry were pointed out.Further,in order to maintain the national food security, the safety of energy resources and new materials, and ensure the sustainable development of the national salt lake resources, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions were put forward, such as strengthening the resource utilization management, improving the resource utilization efficiency, increasing the strategic resource reserve, strengthening the guarantee of production factors, building a leading industrial system and promoting cross-border industrial cooperation.

Key words: salt lake resources, potassium lithium magnesium boron rubidium, comprehensive development and utilization, countermeasures and suggestions
