Abstract: The temperature rise behavior of molybdenite concentrate in microwave fields was investigated. The influences of material thickness, microwave power, and material quantity etc.on the temperature rise behavior of molybdenite concentrate were researched. Results showed that molybdenite concentrate had good microwave absorption properties, and temperature-rising of material in microwave fields was proportional to microwave power, however, inversely proportional to both material thickness and material quantity. When materials were heated in microwave for 13 min, under the conditions of microwave power at 2.6 kW and material thickness of 2 mm,molybdenite concentrate temperature could reach 600 ℃.Therefore,it′s feasible to roast molybdenite concentrate by adopting microwave energy.
