Abstract: The stability of titanium sulfate solution with series concentrations by sulfuric acid method at different temperatures was tested.According to the series stability data, the hydrolysis process was adjusted, such as appropriate extended the heating time at the beginning of the hydrolysis, and injected the right amount of dilute alkali liquor at later period of hydrolysis. The size distribution and particle morphology of metatitanic acid particles were determined by the laser particle size analyzer and scanning electron microscope. Results showed that after adjusted the process, half peak width of particle size distribution curve become narrow and uniform on the whole. Scanning electron microscope photographs showed that small particles had been inhibited obviously. The hydrolysis rate reached 97.0%.
