Abstract:

The quality requirement for basic copper chloride was higher while used as feed additive widely. The microscopic morphology, purity, crystal characteristics and thermal stability of feed grade basic copper chloride(developed by Shenzhen Shentou Environmental Technology Co.,Ltd.independently) which with complete crystalline morphology and perfect cell development was studied by chemical analysis, microscopically,XRD,DSC and TG.The theoretical basis on the identification, synthesis and application of feed grade basic copper chloride could be provided by the research. The results showed that the microscopic morphology photos of basic copper chloride were globular polycrystalline aggregates with sides and corners of microcrystallines which were in the shape of straight hexagonal prisms with bulges on the surface. The XRD spectrum of the sample showed good compatibility with the card 85-1713>Botallackite-Cu2(OH)3Cl.The results of DSC and TG analysis showed good thermal stability of feed grade basic copper chloride crystals while dehydration reaction(265~322 ℃) and dechlorination reaction(387~472 ℃) occurred in the nitrogen environment from room temperature to 600 ℃ and the total re action was: 4Cu2(OH)3Cl→6CuO+2CuCl+Cl2+6H2O.
